Recruitment in family enterprises can be a tricky area, do you recruit based purely on merit, skills and work ethic, or do you try to find a role for any family member that shows interest in working in the business?


Either way, it may not always work out as you intended. Whilst it is very difficult to work with a family member that is underperforming it can be even harder to suggest they may need to look elsewhere for work! 


It can be essential for the survival of the business but also the family as a whole that the situation is dealt with swiftly and in the best way for all involved.
